Abu Dhabi’s Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, in collaboration with the Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination, has concluded the Marine Sports Festival for People of Determination, delivering a day of competitive sport and community engagement in an inclusive setting.
The festival featured a series of marine competitions, including the Beach Kayak Race, Kayak Paddling Race, and a Sailing Race in the Baha Sail category. Events ran from 10:30am to 5:00pm under a structured programme designed to accommodate the needs of all participants.
Around 60 male and female athletes from schools and institutions supporting People of Determination took part, demonstrating strong performances and reinforcing the role of marine sports in empowerment, confidence-building, and social inclusion.
Alongside the competitions, the programme included interactive activities aimed at boosting engagement and morale, reflecting the humanitarian and sporting values at the heart of the initiative.
The festival forms part of ongoing efforts by Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club and Zayed Higher Organisation to expand access to marine sports, offering People of Determination safe, supportive, and professionally organised opportunities to participate.
Winners were honoured by Mubarak Al Ameri, Board Member of Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club; Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Director of the club’s academy; and Ahmed Salem Al Shamsi, Director of the Abu Dhabi Club for People of Determination.
