MBRHE hosts workshop on future housing scenarios in Dubai

Event features a global expert in innovation and future foresight

Dubai-based Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MBRHE) organised a workshop highlighting future housing scenarios in Dubai emirate.

The one-day workshop, titled ‘Foresight and Shaping the Future of Housing’, featured Samer Al Shidiak, a global expert and speaker in innovation and future foresight, as the main speaker.

Held at the MBRHE headquarters in Dubai City, the workshop was attended by 45 participants, including MBRHE heads of divisions, department managers, employees, and representatives from Dubai government entities and the private sector.

The workshop’s content identified the key challenges and opportunities facing the housing sector in Dubai up to 2050, including a plan for housing in Dubai up to 2050 in collaboration with the Establishment’s strategic partners.

The workshop covered assorted topics, including studying and discussing the variables and technologies that influence the shaping of the future of housing, brainstorming amongst participants, creating a set of future scenarios, and presenting and discussing the outcomes with those present.

Noura Saeed Al Mutawaa, Head of Strategy and Performance Department, MBRHE, emphasised MBRHE’s keenness to make innovation and creativity a way of life for all its employees, aligning to make the UAE a hub for creativity and innovation by providing an attractive working environment for talented individuals.

Al Mutawaa thanked the participating entities that contributed to enriching the workshop with their expertise and experiences in housing innovation.
