MBRSC strengthens ties with Society of Engineers – UAE

MoU signed in Dubai

The Dubai-based Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) – home of the UAE space programme – has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Society of Engineers – UAE to foster collaboration between the two entities.

The MoU marks a pivotal step towards facilitating a robust exchange of knowledge and experiences between MBRSC and the Society of Engineers – UAE.

Central to the agreement is to enhance cooperation in engineering research and development and collaborate on community-centric projects and initiatives. Moreover, the partnership aims to amplify the global visibility of MBRSC’s pioneering efforts through the Society of Engineers’ publication, ‘World of Engineering’ magazine, and jointly promote conferences and events that MBRSC organises.

The MoU’s signing ceremony was held at MBRSC’s headquarters, attended by Salem Humaid Al Marri, MBRSC’s Director General, and Abdulla Yousef Al Ali, President of the Board of Directors, Society of Engineers – UAE.

Al Marri underscored the strategic importance of such partnerships in advancing shared goals: “We are delighted to formalise this memorandum with the Society of Engineers – UAE, which underscores our commitment to cooperation and knowledge exchange.

“This agreement opens new avenues for collaboration on future projects and amplifies our efforts to showcase MBRSC’s achievements on the global stage.”

Al Ali emphasised the partnership’s transformative potential, particularly its ability to inspire young engineers and foster innovation across various engineering disciplines.

“This MoU paves the way for innovation and technological advancement, strengthening our role in space and technology. Witnessing MBRSC’s ambitious projects firsthand is inspiring and sets a precedent for aspiring engineers to strive for creativity and excellence,” he said.

The collaboration between MBRSC and the Society of Engineers – UAE signifies a robust commitment to nurturing their strategic alliance, which aims to advance continuously and establish a framework for future cooperative endeavours.

Beyond fostering technical expertise, the partnership also seeks to integrate and align strategic objectives among governmental entities in the UAE, thereby reinforcing their collective impact on national and international engineering landscapes.
