Symphony Sargam Dubai proudly presents “Meera: Echoes of Love,” a groundbreaking theatrical production premiering on October 26, 2024, at the Dubai British School in Jumeirah Park. This captivating performance features 70 talented local artists, celebrating the life and devotion of the revered poetess Meera Bai.
Conceptualized by Somdatta Basu, the show immerses audiences in Meera’s journey of love and spirituality. “The music and dance tell a story that reflects India’s rich cultural heritage while bringing Meera’s spirit to life,” says Basu, who serves as the music and dance director for the production.
Writer and Director Sanjeev Dixit of Third Half Theatre, emphasizes that this production transcends a mere retelling of Meera’s life: “It’s a celebration of love, of unwavering focus and determination against all odds. Meera’s story is inspiring and relevant even today.”
