Names of the 21 finalists for ADIPEC Awards 2023 announced
A record 1,072 entries from 78 countries have been submitted
ADIPEC, the world’s largest platform for the energy value chain, has announced the names of the 21 finalists – originating from the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and the Americas – for the ADIPEC Awards 2023.
The ADIPEC Awards, now in its 13th year, cater to the global energy sector’s needs and challenges.
October 2-5, 2023
Hosted by the Abu Dhabi-headquartered giant ADNOC Group and organised by dmg events, ADIPEC takes place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) in Abu Dhabi City from October 2-5, 2023.
With ADIPEC 2023 being the world’s largest energy exhibition and conference, the globally significant event aims to empower the energy industry’s future direction as it accelerates towards going to net zero and creating a sustainable energy value chain for the future.
Being held under the theme of ‘Leading the Transformation,’ ADIPEC wards 2023 – which received a record 1,072 entry submissions from 78 countries – comprise eight categories that pertain to critical global challenges, including the need for universal access to cleaner and more secure energy and the solutions that are required to propel real change during the energy transition.
8 categories
Seven awards categories were open to the energy industry to submit nominations to.
A 10-member ADIPEC Awards 2023 jury will select the eighth category (Leader of Change: Passionate Driver of Progress).
Encompassing a bouquet of geographies, industries, and companies, the 2023 awards will recognise outstanding achievements within the energy and clean-tech sectors and acknowledge global innovators pursuing decarbonisation goals.
COP28 UAE
The host country of ADIPEC 2023, the UAE, also hosting COP28 in Dubai City (November 30-December 12, 2023), figures in the Game-Changing Partnership Award and Future Energy Workforce Development Programme categories.
The theme of COP28 UAE is ‘Decarbonising. Faster. Together.’
Israel and China are also in the awards’ finalists’ list, with nominat ons in the Clean Energy Technology Innovation of the Year and Transformative Hydrogen Project categories.
Malaysia has four finalists, the highest among the countries represented in the awards.
The ADIPEC Awards 2023 winners will be announced at a gala dinner event at ADNEC on October 2.

Industry solutions
The ADIPEC Awards 2023 finalists include solutions that exemplify visionary progress in decarbonisation and game-changing thinking, including responsible energy management that converts pollutants into sustainable fuels and chemicals to lithium-ion battery recycling methods.
One crucial initiative focuses on global-scale decarbonisation through a transparent certification platform for low-carbon products to drive competitive decarbonisation worldwide, encompassing various energy carriers.
Another submission seeks to establish the world’s largest green hydrogen plant, integrating renewable energy sources on an unprecedented scale and promising substantial carbon-free hydrogen production.
Key attendees
Key leaders from the energy industry, including ministers, CEOs, innovators, stakeholders, and academia, will attend the awards ceremony on October 2.
ADIPEC 2023 is projected to attract 170,000+ attend es worldwide for its exhibition and conference programme featuring 1,700+ conference speakers across 360+ sessions.
A record 2,250+ companies from across the global energy ecosystem will also present their ideas, innovations and solutions targeted at the energy future at ADIPEC 2023.
