New Ford Raptor T1+ ready for rally raid terrains
Ford Performance and M-Sport collaborate
Ford Performance has unveiled the Ford Raptor T1+, which features unique off-road capability and engineering prowess and is designed to tackle the challenges of the Dakar Rally and other gruelling rally raid terrains.
Engineered in collaboration with M-Sport, the new Ford Raptor T1+ represents the culmination of advanced off-road technologies and performance.
The purpose-built truck promises unmatched handling and durability in extreme conditions, featuring a robust Coyote-based 5.0 V8 engine and an advanced suspension system with adjustable Fox bypass dampers.

The vehicle’s debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed showcased its cutting-edge design and capability enhancements. The front and rear independent double-wishbone suspension with three-way adjustable coilovers and four-way external bypass dampers ensure superior handling and resilience.
The 5.0L Coyote-based engine, equipped with a dry-sump oil system and tuned exhaust, delivers exceptional power and torque tailored for extreme off-road conditions.
Constructed with a T45 steel spaceframe and carbon fibre body panels, the Raptor T1+ combines functionality with distinctive Raptor aesthetics. It boasts a 400mm ground clearance and an impressive approach angle of over 70°.
Elite drivers, including rally legends Carlos Sainz Sr. with navigator Lucas Cruz and Nani Roma with navigator Alex Haro, will pilot the Ford Raptor T1+.
These teams will test their mettle at events such as the 2024 Baja Hungary and the 2025 Dakar Rally, aiming to demonstrate the vehicle’s capabilities in diverse and challenging terrains.
Matt Wilson, M-Sport Director and Dakar Team Manager, expressed confidence in the vehicle’s readiness following extensive testing in rigorous conditions. “We’ve logged over 10,000km to ensure the Raptor T1+ is prepared for the ultimate challenge,” he said.
With its sights set on Dakar and beyond, the Ford Raptor T1+ represents Ford’s ambition to set new benchmarks in off-road performance and innovation.
