OPPO unveils GenAI-powered smartphone pair for GCC market
Devices withstand drops, pressure, and water
OPPO has launched its Reno12 Series of premium smartphones and TWS Enco X3i true wireless noise-cancelling earbuds for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) market. The launch event was held on July 2, 2024, at the Opportunity Pavilion in Expo City, Dubai.
Presentations at the launch event by Darren Chen, Director of AI Technology Strategy at OPPO; Hina Iqbal, Product Expert at OPPO GCC; Steffie Justesen, a professional photographer; Rami Osman, Director of Business Development (MEA) at MediaTek; and Ivan Wu, CEO of OPPO GCC, highlighted the technological advancements and strategic vision behind the Reno12 Series and TWS Enco X3i.

The Reno12 Series, comprising the Reno12 and Reno12 Pro smartphones, represents a leap forward in digital technology with integrated GenAI features. These AI-powered smartphones promise enhanced productivity and creativity, setting new benchmarks in-camera capabilities, battery life, and design aesthetics.
Key features
Key features include AI Eraser 2.0, which seamlessly removes unwanted elements in images, and AI Clear Face and AI Best Face enhancements for group photos, which ensure clarity and perfection in every shot.
Both models support 4K video recording at 30fps on front and rear cameras, delivering high-definition video quality with unique resolution. AI Toolbox and AI Recording Summary tools further enhance user efficiency, offering content-aware recommendations and intelligent text summaries from voice recordings.
Accompanying the Reno12 Series is the TWS Enco X3i, OPPO’s latest true wireless earbuds. Designed for audiophiles, these earbuds boast Hi-Res Audio quality and flagship-grade noise cancellation, ensuring crystal-clear sound in any environment.
The Reno12 (available in Astro Silver and Matte Brown) and Reno12 Pro (available in Sunset Gold and Space Brown ) feature a futuristic fluid design and high-strength alloy framework, combining aesthetic appeal with durability.
Both models are engineered to withstand drops, pressure, and water and have an IP65 rating for exceptional dust and water resistance, making them suitable for diverse environmental conditions. Critical components have been reinforced to enhance waterproofing, ensuring uninterrupted usage even in challenging situations.
OPPO offers special incentives valid until July 8, 2024, in the UAE market.
The Reno12 costs AED1,599, including free Enco Buds2 Pro wireless earbuds and six months of screen protection, worth AED499.
The Reno12 Pro costs AED2,099, which includes a free smartwatch, Enco Buds2 Pro wireless earbuds, and six months of screen protection worth AED599.
The TWS Enco X3i wireless earbuds are priced at AED349.
