Paid parking has been introduced across additional sectors in Musaffah, as Q Mobility confirmed the rollout starting Monday, April 20.
The move, implemented under the supervision of the Integrated Transport Centre, part of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, marks the second phase of a broader strategy to enhance parking management and ease traffic congestion across Abu Dhabi.
The newly activated zones cover sectors M7, M8, M9, M14 and M15, offering a combined total of 10,010 parking spaces. Authorities have also designated dedicated bays for People of Determination to ensure accessibility and support inclusive mobility.
Officials said the expansion is aimed at improving the organisation of public parking, particularly in Musaffah, a key industrial and commercial hub that experiences heavy daily traffic from workers and visitors. The initiative is expected to streamline vehicle movement, reduce congestion and enhance road safety, while creating a more structured environment for businesses operating in the area.
Parking fees have been set at Dh2 per hour for standard spaces. Motorists can pay through multiple channels, including the Darb and TAMM platforms, SMS services and on-site payment machines, offering flexibility and convenience.
Q Mobility said the rollout is part of a wider plan launched earlier this year to expand paid parking in strategic locations across the emirate. The initiative supports efforts to improve traffic efficiency, manage parking demand and contribute to better urban planning.
Motorists have been urged to comply with parking regulations and use authorised payment methods to avoid fines.
