PAL-V to set up Dutch assembly and delivery centre
At Breda International Airport
PAL-V, a global leader in FlyDrive mobility solutions, will establish a new assembly and delivery centre at Breda International Airport in the Netherlands. The move marks a pivotal step in PAL-V’s mission to transform personal air mobility.
The new facility will be the first in Europe, positioning Breda International Airport at the forefront of regional airport innovation.
Strategically situated in the southern Netherlands and nestled between major European hubs such as Rotterdam and Antwerp, the airport is set to become a hub for the PAL-V FlyDrive vehicles—cutting-edge flying cars that are on the brink of achieving air certification and commercial release.
The assembly and delivery centre will handle final assembly, customer demonstrations, flight training, and pre-delivery inspections for PAL-V’s innovative vehicles. This centre will be crucial in supporting the global rollout of the PAL-V Liberty and the company’s expansion efforts.
Robert Dingemanse, CEO of PAL-V, said: “We are excited to partner with Breda International Airport, a location that perfectly aligns with our vision of integrating air mobility into existing transportation networks.
“As we edge closer to finalising certification, this facility will be crucial in ensuring that our customers experience the highest standard of service and support once they receive their PAL-V Liberty FlyDriving vehicles.”
Stef Have, CEO of Breda International Airport, added: “Partnering with PAL-V aligns with our commitment to supporting innovative aviation technologies. We are proud to be part of this groundbreaking development and look forward to playing a key role in the future of advanced air mobility.”
Funding round
In preparation for the launch, PAL-V is securing a comprehensive funding package, which includes contributions from international strategic investors and a final wave of Dutch private investors.
The financial backing will support the start-up of production and the delivery of the PAL-V Liberty, which has already garnered significant interest from various sectors, including emergency services, NGOs, and government agencies.
Breda International Airport has been home to the PAL-V FlyDrive Academy since 2019, where prospective PAL-V Liberty owners have received flight training. With most reservations from professional entities, the initial production capacity has already been filled for the next three years, highlighting strong market interest.
In addition to flight training, PAL-V will utilise Breda International Airport as a testing ground for further development of its PAL-V Liberty platform, focusing on advancements in clean-tech drivetrains and other emerging technologies.
