Its woof, woof as pet dogs fly in luxury from Dubai to London

K9 Jets begins pet-friendly private jet flights on UAE-UK sector

Yes, pet dogs fly in private business jets, and sometimes, for free, too!

K9 Jets has operated the first-ever Dubai to London luxury private charter flight for pet dogs and their owners.

The inaugural luxury private jet flight by the Birmingham, UK-based private jet charter company departed for Farnborough, UK, from the private jet terminal at Al Maktoum International Airport, Dubai, on September 26, 2023.

K9 Jets typically charges about AED36,800 ($10,000) on a pay-per-seat basis to fly a pet creature and its owner from the UAE to the UK.

Onboard the unusual luxury flight were Miniature Schnauzers, Golden Retrievers, a Retriever-Spaniel-Saluki mix, two mixed Salukis, a Goldendoodle, and their respective owners.

3 competition winners

Three pet dogs on the approximately 7-hour 40-minute flight won a K9 Jets competition to celebrate the launch of the company’s Dubai to London pet-friendly flight service.

The competition winners were Nicole Breed and her street-rescued dogs Sagi and Miles, both Saluki mixes; Luke Hogg and Connie, his miniature schnauzer; and Sarah-Jane Thomson, owner of Buddy, a Golden Retriever and Archie, a Retriever-Saluki-Spaniel mix.

The competition prizes included a complimentary seat for the pet dog owners.

Adam Golder, Co-Founder of K9 Jets, said: “September 26, 2023, was a milestone for us and our growing ‘pawprint’ in the aviation sector in the Middle East. It was extra special to welcome our competition winners onboard and to play an important role in ensuring the relocation to their new home is stress-free and enjoyable.”

Unique journey

Nicole Breed added: “We can’t thank K9 Jets enough for offering such an incredible and generous opportunity for lucky ‘fur-parents’ and ‘fur-children’ to experience a once-in-a-lifetime journey.

“Sagi and Miles’ story has touched so many people’s hearts worldwide, and I can’t think of two souls more deserving of this opportunity. We can’t believe these boys have gone from barely surviving on the streets to flying to their forever home in a private jet within mere months.”

K9 Jets will operate further pet-friendly Dubai to London flights on December 19, 2023, and on January 6, April 15, July 22, and September 30, 2024.

Farnborough, UK, to Al Maktoum International Airport, Dubai, pet-carrying flight dates are December 18, 2023, January 5, April 14, July 21, and September 29, 2024.

Plans for private charter flights for pets and their owners on the Doha to London route are on the anvil.

K9 Jets was founded by Kirsty and Adam Golder in 2022. The company has flown 220+ pets and 200 passengers and aims to launch pet-friendly flight routes in Asia and Australia in 2024.
