For professional riders and motocross enthusiasts
Pirelli has unveiled its latest off-road innovation, the Scorpion MX32 Mid Soft, a tyre that promises to enhance performance for professional riders and motocross enthusiasts. The new product, part of Pirelli’s renowned SCORPION family, represents a significant leap forward, building on the brand’s legacy of success in the FIM Motocross World Championship, which has claimed 82 world titles since 1980.
The Scorpion MX32 Mid Soft tyre, designed to handle medium-soft terrain, debuted at the Internationals of Italy Motocross event. It showcased its capabilities with Tim Gajser triumphing in the MX1 category and Andrea Adamo clinching the top spot in MX2. The tyre’s exceptional performance on the tracks secured Pirelli’s dominance, helping riders dominate the podium and the final standings in both classes.
In 2025, the Scorpion MX32 Mid Soft will be featured in the FIM Motocross World Championship, equipping some top riders. Additionally, like all of Pirelli’s racing tyres, it will be made available to the public, allowing amateur riders to use the same cutting-edge technology as professionals. This accessibility reflects Pirelli’s commitment to providing the highest quality products to every level of motocross participant.
The Scorpion MX32 Mid Soft represents the culmination of Pirelli’s decades of experience in competitive motocross, refined through the insights gained from iconic champions such as Stefan Everts, Antonio Cairoli, André Malherbe, and Jeffrey Herlings. Their victories have cemented the Scorpion brand’s reputation, and the latest generation tyre carries on that proud heritage with enhanced performance.
Pirelli has focused on several key improvements in the Scorpion MX32 Mid Soft, making it a highly versatile tyre designed for medium-soft terrain, ranging from soft soil to more compact surfaces. The brand has invested in advanced technological developments, including new tread patterns, updated compounds, and structural optimisations. These innovations provide exceptional grip, durability, and stability across track conditions.
A key feature of the new Scorpion MX32 Mid Soft is its improved braking performance. The front tyre’s tread design has been specifically engineered to offer enhanced dampening capabilities, ensuring excellent stability and control during braking. The new arrangement of central knobs aids in better penetration into the ground, which directly translates to improved grip and braking effectiveness.
The tyre also excels in cornering, thanks to two central knobs on the front that provide more excellent stability. These adjustments make handling smoother, allowing for faster and more precise cornering. Additionally, the rear tyre’s improved side knobs enhance traction during acceleration and lateral movement, enabling better performance when exiting corners and in the crucial holeshot phase. The interaction between the central and side knobs optimises both traction and lateral thrust, ensuring a superior racing experience.
Pirelli has also focused on increasing the Scorpion MX32 Mid Soft’s versatility on medium-hard terrain. The new tread compound improves wear regularity and tear resistance, allowing the tyre to perform consistently in various conditions. Whether on soft, muddy tracks or more compact dirt surfaces, the Scorpion MX32 Mid Soft delivers reliability and durability.
The new Scorpion MX32 Mid Soft tyre also incorporates advancements in materials and compounds. The redesigned tread is crafted from a compound that maximises grip, durability, and traction, while the updated sidewall compound provides greater flexibility and strength. These enhancements ensure the tyre can meet the rigorous demands of modern motocross competitions, offering riders confidence in their equipment.
Pirelli’s dedication to innovation extends beyond performance; the new Scorpion MX32 Mid Soft also boasts a refined aesthetic design. The tyre features high-contrast lettering on the sidewalls for better visibility and the iconic Pirelli logo, ensuring easy identification and reinforcing the brand’s identity. These subtle design elements highlight Pirelli’s commitment to premium quality, not only in performance but also in the visual appeal of its products.
The Scorpion MX32 Mid Soft is available in various sizes, catering to front and rear applications. The front tyre is available in the 80/100 – 21 M/C 51M MST size, while the rear tyres are offered in four different sizes: 100/90 – 19 NHS 57M, 110/90 – 19 NHS 62M, 120/80 – 19 NHS 63M, and 120/90 – 19 NHS 66M.
