Qatar Airways has announced a significant increase in flights between Doha and Dubai, expanding its schedule to five daily services as demand for summer travel across the Gulf continues to rise.
The Doha-based carrier said the enhanced schedule will be introduced in phases, beginning with a third daily flight from June 5. A fourth daily service will be added on June 15, while a fifth daily flight will return later during the summer season.
The additional services will be operated using Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 aircraft, increasing capacity and offering greater flexibility for passengers travelling between Hamad International Airport in Doha and Dubai International Airport.
With the expanded schedule, Qatar Airways will operate up to 35 flights per week on the popular Doha-Dubai route, strengthening connectivity between two of the region’s busiest aviation hubs.
The move forms part of the airline’s broader efforts to restore and expand its regional network following months of disruption linked to airspace restrictions. Qatar Airways resumed flights to Dubai and Sharjah in April, while services to Abu Dhabi restarted in May.
Beyond the UAE, the airline is preparing for a busy summer season with operations planned to more than 160 destinations worldwide. The updated schedule, which remains in effect until September 15, includes additional frequencies and route adjustments across several markets.
The expansion comes as airlines across the Middle East continue to navigate operational challenges caused by ongoing airspace restrictions. Qatar Airways previously stated that some services were operating through a limited safe corridor designated by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, with schedules subject to regulatory approvals and evolving airspace conditions.
The airline has advised passengers that flight timings may still be adjusted or cancelled due to operational, regulatory, or safety-related factors. Travellers affected by any schedule changes remain eligible for rebooking options or refunds in accordance with the airline’s policies.
