Ras Al Khaimah Sets 80km/h Radar Speed Limit on Shamal–Rams Road

Ras Al Khaimah Police have confirmed that radar enforcement on the Shamal–Rams Road is now set at 80km/h, aligning with the speed limit signs posted along both sides of the route.

The update supports the Ministry of Interior’s broader goal to strengthen road safety across the UAE. Police said the limit is intended to keep traffic moving smoothly, reduce congestion, and cut down on accidents by encouraging consistent driving behaviour on this key stretch of road.

Motorists are urged to follow the posted limits and general traffic rules. Officials noted that road discipline plays a major role in keeping everyone safe and reminded drivers that violations could result in fines or other penalties.

The force reiterated that sticking to speed regulations is one of the simplest and most effective ways to prevent accidents and improve safety across the emirate’s road network.
