The GCC’s first-ever dedicated Electric Vehicle (EV) Service Centre has officially opened in Dubai’s Al Barsha South, marking a major milestone in the UAE’s transition toward sustainable mobility. The innovative facility, launched by Emarat at its new Al Buhaira service station, integrates EV maintenance with traditional fuel, food, and car care services  offering motorists a one-stop destination for all vehicle needs.

The launch expands Emarat’s network to 158 stations across the UAE and underscores the company’s commitment to evolving with the country’s clean-energy and electric mobility agenda. The new EV Service Centre operates in collaboration with EVS Electric Vehicle Services LLC, combining Emarat’s established Lube Express model with EVS’s specialised maintenance and diagnostic expertise.

New Era of Mobility Services

Under this strategic partnership, Emarat and EVS will roll out co-branded “EVS Express Service Bays” across selected Emarat sites, starting with Barsha South, Nahrawan in Dubai, and Muwafjah in Sharjah. A pilot programme is already underway to fine-tune customer experience and establish scalable EV servicing standards.

“Al Buhaira represents two important milestones it’s a flagship addition to our New Dubai network and the GCC’s first Electric Vehicle Service Centre,” said Ali Khalifa Al Shamsi, CEO of Emarat. “Through our partnership with EVS, we’re bringing fast, safe, and high-quality EV maintenance into our service mix, while continuing to uphold Emarat’s commitment to convenience, safety, and the UAE’s clean-mobility vision.”

Comprehensive Facilities for Every Motorist

The Al Buhaira station offers 24-hour fuel, a Freshplus convenience store, Bakeria and Café Arabica outlets, car wash, and traditional vehicle servicing with a fast-food outlet set to open soon. The addition of EV servicing makes the location one of the most versatile service hubs in the region.

“This new EV Service Centre enhances our customer offering by introducing future-ready diagnostics and quick service for electric vehicles, delivered with the same HSE excellence and operational efficiency that Emarat is known for,” said Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, Chief Retail Officer and Senior Vice President of Marketing at Emarat. “We are continuously innovating to meet the evolving needs of our community and support how they move, connect, and experience Emarat every day.”

Accelerating the UAE’s EV Ecosystem

For EVS, the partnership marks a pivotal step in its mission to develop a comprehensive regional support network for electric vehicles. By integrating into Emarat’s extensive footprint, EVS aims to make professional EV maintenance more accessible to the growing number of electric car owners across the UAE.

The Al Buhaira EV Service Centre is now open to the public, with additional sites scheduled to launch in the coming months, further strengthening the UAE’s infrastructure for sustainable transportation.
