The Studio at Dubai Opera became a celebration of young musical talent as students from Royal Grammar School Guildford Dubai (RGSGD) delivered an exceptional Senior Summer Concert on Monday, 22nd June.
Bringing together 48 talented senior students, the performance showcased an inspiring evening of musical excellence and creativity at one of the region’s most prestigious cultural venues. Parents, teachers and members of the school’s Senior Leadership Team were treated to an unforgettable programme that reflected both the remarkable talent of the students and RGSGD’s growing reputation for excellence in the performing arts.
Opening the evening were performances by the Senior Orchestra, alongside an impressive line-up of solo instrumentalists and vocalists, before the concert concluded with the Senior Royal Choir. Audiences were taken on a musical journey through timeless classical works by Vivaldi, Chopin and Mozart, as well as contemporary and musical theatre favourites from Wonderland, Wicked, and Mamma Mia!
From elegant violin and piano solos to dynamic performances on saxophone, clarinet, cello, electric guitar, drum kit and voice, the young performers demonstrated confidence, artistry and maturity beyond their years.
Matthew Pearce, Principal of Royal Grammar School Guildford Dubai, said: “Our continued collaboration with Dubai Opera and Encore has created exceptional opportunities for our students to experience the arts at the very highest level.
