Sheikh Mohammed Unveils Dh4.7 Billion Global Humanitarian Endowment District

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has announced the launch of a landmark global humanitarian project a Dh4.7 billion endowment district dedicated to funding health and education initiatives worldwide.

The announcement, made via Sheikh Mohammed’s official X account, marks a significant step in the UAE’s commitment to sustainable philanthropy under the umbrella of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI).

According to Sheikh Mohammed, the new endowment district will feature a world-class hospital capable of serving 90,000 patients annually, a medical university, and schools accommodating more than 5,000 students. The development will also include 2,000 residential units, a vibrant boulevard, and a range of endowment-owned retail outlets all designed to generate ongoing proceeds for charitable causes.

“Our thanks go to all philanthropic endowers, supporters, and contributors foremost among them Azizi Developments and others and our appreciation to everyone who strives for good and works to ensure its continuity in the nation of generosity and giving,” Sheikh Mohammed said.

He added that the initiative represents a “perpetual charitable endowment” whose revenues will continually fund humanitarian projects around the world.

“Thanks to God for His guidance. May He accept from us and from you all good deeds,” Sheikh Mohammed concluded.
