SIBEC 2024 Elevates UAE as a Global Hub for Fire and Life Safety Innovation

Powered by SIBCA, the leading Fire, Life Safety, and ICT Solutions provider, the third edition of SIBEC–the region’s leading event for advancing fire and life safety in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)– has successfully concluded. Held in Abu Dhabi, UAE, from 13-15 November 2024, this year’s event welcomed a record number of partners under the theme ‘Innovation That Keeps You Safe,’ spotlighting the vital role of the Internet of Things (IoT) in ensuring a safer and more secure future.

The two-day event brought together leading experts and professionals from regional and global markets to explore the latest trends and innovations in various sectors, including building management system (BMS), extra-low voltage (ELV), audiovisual (AV), heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), lighting, and information and communication technologies (ICT).

A significant highlight of the event was SIBCA’s announcement of the Trainovation Fire and Safety Training Academy, a new facility in Abu Dhabi that is an approved training center under the NFPA Network. This academy[DK1]  aims to equip fire and safety professionals with the essential knowledge needed to protect lives and property. It will offer courses delivered by approved instructors on critical topics such as fire protection, building safety, electrical hazards, and industrial safety, ensuring practitioners in the region are up to date with the latest NFPA codes and standards.

We would like to thank everyone involved in making the third edition of SIBEC a resounding success. More than just a conference, SIBEC provides attendees with an unparalleled chance to forge connections, pave the way for meaningful partnerships, and directly experience the latest high-quality products and services on the market, all in the interest of improving fire and life safety, said Mr. Ibrahim Lari, Chairman & CEO of SIBCA.

This year’s event featured over 30 official partners, including NFPA, UL Solutions, Johnson Controls International, Honeywell, Huawei, AWEX, Ultra fog, Interra, Samcon, Hanwha, Dahua, TTK, ID Cube, Excel Networking, Ambient System, Controlium, ABB, Omniconn, NOVA Systems Engineering, ASL Gulf, Aironn, MODUS, PELCO, Doncaster, Hitachi, York, ALS, Trainovation, and Guard. Attendees benefitted from stimulating talks, engaging panel discussions, and hands-on workshops, as well as the chance to discover the latest cutting-edge technologies, providing them with the latest insights into the rapidly evolving world of fire and life safety.

We look forward to welcoming existing and future partners for SIBEC 2025, which is gearing up to be an even bigger event, with more partners, technologies, experience, and training opportunities than ever before, he added.
