Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Spartan, the world’s leading endurance sports and extreme wellness brand, have announced a 25 per cent discount on entry fees for the Spartan World Championship 2023.
The initiative, applicable across all Open Heats, is available for 72 hours only, running from 12.01am on Tuesday November 14th until 11.59pm on Thursday November 16thto celebrate the 30-day countdown to the three-day event, which begins on Friday December 8th.
The Spartan World Championship 2023 brings together the world’s best athletes in Abu Dhabi’s Al Wathba area for the second consecutive year, and third time overall in the capital.
Situated just 30 minutes outside both Abu Dhabi City and Abu Dhabi International Airport, the race venue is a prime location for competitors, who will be looking to test their strength and endurance limits on the course this year.
One of the region’s biggest and best sporting events, the Spartan World Championship 2023 includes a variety of races and distances guaranteed to excite both athletes and spectators alike.
This year’s event begins on Friday December 8th with the 3K Races, which are followed by the inaugural 5k Night Race. In addition, the opening night includes the Sheikh Zayed Festival, a huge celebration of Emirati culture, for which ticket holders will receive free entry.
A packed race schedule on Saturday December 9th features the Elite 21K World Championship, Age Group 21K World Championship, Open Beast (21km; 30 obstacles) and Kids Competitive & Open (½ Mile – 2 Mile, 5-20 obstacles).
The entertainment continues into the night with a Parade of Nations and Award Ceremonies, which are followed by a post-race party, giveaways and live music at the second night of the Sheikh Zayed Festival.
The Spartan World Championship 2023 draws to a close on Sunday December 10th with another huge day of race action, featuring the Elite 3K Team Relay World Championship, Open Super (10km; 25 obstacles), Open Sprint (5km; 20 obstacles), Kids Open (½ Mile – 2 Mile; 5-20 obstacles).
