Pink is having a moment at Times Square Center, and this time, it’s about so much more than a colour. This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the community-favourite destination on Sheikh Zayed Road is turning awareness into action with two heartfelt events, Sew Pink on Saturday, 17 October and Pink Power 3 on Sunday, 25 October, inviting families, friends, volunteers and survivors to come together, give back and stand side by side.
On the first weekend, volunteers will gather to sew comfort pillows and keepsakes for patients recovering from surgery. The next, the Ground Floor bursts into pink with free check-ups, expert talks, music, dancing and homegrown brands. Two very different days, one shared message: no one should face breast cancer alone.
Sew Pink: Every Stitch Carries Comfort
On Saturday, 17 October, Picnic Square on the First Floor turns into a cosy community sewing studio as Sew Pink returns to Times Square Center. Brought to life by Brother International (Gulf) FZE in collaboration with Brest Friends, with Times Square Center as proud venue partner, the hands-on initiative invites volunteers to make post-surgery comfort cushions and drainage bag holders for breast cancer patients across the UAE. They may look like simple, soft cushions, but for someone recovering from surgery, they bring real comfort exactly when it’s needed most.
Every finished piece is tucked into a Care Pack with a handwritten note of encouragement, then distributed through Brest Friends and its partner medical institutions to patients across the country. All materials and equipment are provided, and there’s a role for every pair of hands. Come on your own, bring your best friend, or turn it into a feel-good team day with colleagues. The best part? You’ll go home knowing that something you made will soon be in the hands of someone who needs it.

Pink Power 3: A Day of Strength, Hope and Awareness
The following weekend, the pink keeps flowing as Pink Power returns for its third edition. Hosted in partnership with Creative Makers Events (CME), the all-day celebration takes over the Ground Floor on Sunday, 25 October, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, under the theme “Strength, Hope, Awareness.” The event proudly stands as an official partner supporting the Al Jalila Foundation Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign.
Visitors can enjoy free medical check-ups, while specialists, public health physicians, nutritionists and oncologists from partners including Saudi German Health Dubai lead Awareness Talks on prevention, early screening and what to expect during a medical evaluation.
The day kicks off with an opening parade, followed by high-energy live performances, a community Pink Flash Mob, plus arts, crafts and wellness workshops for grown-ups and little ones alike. Don’t leave without a wander through the pink Pop-Up Market, where homegrown brands, sustainable local vendors and wellness partners make it easy to shop small for a big cause. Dress code? Pink, of course.
