What are the 4 new DTC app-based services you can now avail of in Dubai?
New app features are part of DTC’s digital transformation
Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC), a Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) subsidiary, has added four new services to its DTC-branded smart app.
The four new services’ launch syncs with DTC’s digital transformation strategy.
Abdullah Ibrahim Al Meer, Director of Digital Transformation and Commercial Development Dubai Taxi Corporation, said: “The launch of these services reflects Dubai Taxi Corporation’s commitment to enhance the digital transformation journey for the benefit of the community.”
Hourly Rental
One of the new DTC app-based services is an ‘Hourly Rental’ service available when engaging in a DTC ride. The service targets taxi users in Dubai emirate and travel and tourism operators, such as hotels, tour operators and other public and private entities.
App users can use the new service to make several nonstop trips on DTC vehicles without designating a specific destination and while being able to guide a taxi driver to a particular location via the app.
The Hourly Rental service also caters to business executives by allowing them to book a single limousine taxi for several meetings and make multiple stops as part of their business trips.
The Hourly Rental service is available 24/7, allowing users to complete journeys with a single vehicle rather than switching rides between different DTC vehicles, thereby saving users time, effort, and cost.
Lost and Found
Another newly launched app-based service is the ‘Lost and Found’ feature.
This new service enables DTC passengers who have forgotten any of their belongings during their taxi ride to retrieve the items by directly communicating with the taxi driver after their ride ends or by selecting a Lost Item Request feature in the available trip report to arrange for the items’ return.
Meet Me Here
The DTC app now also has a ‘Meet Me Here’ service.
This new service allows the app users to share their location with people of their choice, making it easy to meet up at an intended destination in Dubai emirate.
Share My Trip
A new Share My Trip status service is now available on the app.
The new service enables users to accurately share their trip status with anyone of their choice by giving them details about their DTC taxi, trip, travel route and estimated arrival time.
The DTC app is available for download from Google Play and App Store.
