“The Pin-Ups” Malone Souliers presents its SS25 collection as part of London Fashion Week’s official calendar, Monday 16
In the year of Malone Souliers’ 10th anniversary, Co-Creative Directors Coco Fong and Valerio Bava revisit one of the original themes that shaped some of the brand’s most beloved silhouettes. The SS25 collection draws inspiration from vintage magazines, classic billboards and cinema. Reflecting on the timeless allure of 1950s pin-up culture, we embrace old-school Hollywood glamour, burlesque and rockabilly aesthetics to evoke a flirtatious femininity while maintaining a sartorial edge.
Malone Souliers showcased its SS25 collection at Somerset House, the original home of London Fashion Week, on Monday, 16th September. Three separate rooms were transformed into immersive spaces of play and imagination, featuring explosive colours and bold patterns covering the walls and floors – from optical illusions to polka dots and statement stripes. Captivating floral installations by Hamish Powell took shape as voluminous, geometric sculptures. Each was crafted from a single colour of flower, creating a striking monochromatic effect.
Named after female icons of eras past, seasonal heroes are characterised by striking silhouettes, dazzling embellishments and innovative materials such as denim, cork, patent leather and linen. The collection’s defining details showcase a modern take on nostalgia, from marquise-shaped crystals that dangle like costume jewellery to cage sandals inspired by pin-up illustrations. Patterns such as gingham, polka dots and florals envelope the new styles as a tongue-in-cheek reference to the era that made fashion fun.
New season silhouettes debut with a refreshing summer energy. Feminine curves, glossy sculpted hairdos and powdery rouge makeup are interpreted as acrylic flowers, jute soles and an expressive colour palette. Saccharine pinks, glossy reds, vivid blues and luminous metallics bring a joyful touch to heels and handbags.
Commenting on the SS25 collection, Malone Souliers’ Co-Creative Directors explain: “In the year of our 10th anniversary, we wanted to revisit the original inspiration of the brand, the tongue-in-cheek sensuality and femininity of the pin-up illustration from the 1950s. The collection is infused with joie de vivre and irony, playing with the cliché and iconic themes of that era, transporting them into the modern world of Malone Souliers.”
The Malone Souliers SS25 collection will launch in January 2025 at MaloneSouliers.com and Harrods and & online at malonesouliers.com, Bloomingdales.ae, levelshoes.com, Farfetch.com and Ounass. The collection is also available in store at the Malone Souliers store in Qatar, Villagio Mall, Bloomingdale’s Kuwait, Bloomingdale’s UAE, Tryano Abu Dhabi, and Harvey Nichols Kuwait, Riyadh, and Dubai.
