The Woodfire House, a new fire-driven dining concept, has opened its doors in Sobha Hartland, introducing an experience centred on open flames, premium ingredients and immersive, craft-led cooking.
Designed as a destination rather than a casual extension, The Woodfire House is built around the elemental art of cooking over fire. Flames, embers, charcoal and smoke are not just techniques, but the foundation of the kitchen’s language. The concept embraces a slower, more intentional approach, where heat, time and skill work together to shape flavour.
Open-flame grills, charcoal stations and live cooking areas sit at the centre of the space, allowing guests to witness the transformation of premium cuts, seafood and artisanal produce as they interact directly with fire. The menu focuses on simplicity and restraint, highlighting the natural depth of ingredients without unnecessary embellishment.
“With The Woodfire House, we wanted to create something honest and deeply rooted in craft. Fire is one of the oldest cooking methods, yet it remains incredibly relevant today. This concept is about respecting ingredients, trusting technique, its process and offering Dubai a dining experience that feels raw, grounded and memorable, especially within a community setting like Sobha Hartland” says the Mr Karnas Mohammed Aziz, founder of Coop House Hospitality.
The menu is centred around fire-led specialities, including charcoal grilled seafood, premium steaks cooked over live flames and meats finished with deep, smoky flavour profiles. A live sandwich station adds an interactive element, with freshly grilled fillings assembled to order.
The interiors also mirror the culinary philosophy -Dark, rustic and atmospheric. The space is defined by natural materials including wood, steel, and stone. Low lighting enhances the glow of the open grills, allowing fire to act as a visual centrepiece.
A defining feature of The Woodfire House is its retail display counter, which bridges the gap between restaurant and gourmet store. Guests can explore and purchase dry-aged meats, artisanal cheeses, gourmet seasonings and specialty accompaniments. This same products are used in the kitchen allowing the experience to extend beyond the restaurant into home kitchens.
Located in Sobha Hartland, The Woodfire House caters to residents, food lovers and diners seeking a refined yet unpretentious experience rooted in authenticity. With its emphasis on elemental cooking and understated design, the concept adds a new dimension to Dubai’s evolving dining scene.
