The Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry participated in the “Made in GCC 2026” Forum and Exhibition, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain from 6 to 8 October.
The participation formed part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Gulf economic integration, expand trade and investment cooperation, and enhance the presence of national companies across global markets. It also aimed to support export growth, boost the competitiveness of GCC products, and expand their integration into regional and international value chains.
Nada Al Hajri, General Coordinator of the Sharjah Excellence Award at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), represented the UAE Chambers at a panel discussion titled “Taking Our Brand Global”.
The discussion explored the essential enablers for taking national brands into global markets and the strategies needed to enhance their competitiveness and sustainability. It also highlighted the role of chambers of commerce in fostering strategic partnerships, developing the business support ecosystem, and facilitating opportunities for companies to scale their operations and broaden their international reach.
Nada Al Hajri emphasised that national brands play a fundamental role in enhancing economic competitiveness and strengthening economies’ positions in global markets.
She noted that the UAE has an integrated economic ecosystem that offers businesses a supportive environment for growth, innovation and expansion, while opening up broad opportunities to access new markets and build sustainable strategic partnerships.
She added that the coming period offers promising opportunities for Emirati and Gulf brands to strengthen their international reach, supported by an evolving business environment, closer integration of Gulf markets, and expanding prospects for commercial and investment cooperation. These factors will help transform national capabilities into high-value brands with a strong and influential presence in the global economy.
