The UAE has launched a major new artificial intelligence (AI) training drive, AI for All, in partnership with Google a nationwide initiative aimed at equipping residents of all ages with the skills needed for the digital economy of the future.
Announced as part of the UAE Codes 2025 celebrations, the programme is spearheaded by the UAE’s Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office in collaboration with Google. Training sessions will run throughout 2026, focusing on making AI accessible, responsible, and inclusive for everyone from students and educators to entrepreneurs and small businesses.
According to a 2025 report by Public First, Generative AI could add up to AED 298 billion to the UAE economy, underscoring the country’s commitment to fostering digital literacy and innovation.
Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, said the collaboration marks a powerful model of public–private partnership.
“Through such collaborations, the UAE aims to empower society with future skills, support the growth of an advanced digital economy, and reaffirm its vision of becoming a global hub for innovation and emerging technologies,” Al Olama stated.
Anthony Nakache, Managing Director of Google MENA, said the partnership is rooted in a shared mission to make AI benefits accessible to all.
“By providing students with access to our latest Gemini models, empowering SMBs with AI tools, and supporting teachers and journalists, we are helping build a future where everyone can safely and confidently participate in the AI economy,” Nakache added.
As part of the AI for All initiative, Google and the UAE Government will roll out educational programmes designed to teach AI fundamentals, prompt writing for generative AI, and creative skills using AI-powered tools. Special modules will also help SMEs harness AI to boost growth and efficiency.
Earlier this month, university students in the UAE received 12 months of free access to Gemini 2.5, Google’s most advanced model, as part of the collaboration.
Throughout 2026, a nationwide campaign will encourage residents to complete AI literacy modules and explore hands-on experiences with Google’s AI ecosystem.
The initiative aligns with UAE Vision 2031, supporting the country’s goal of becoming a leading global AI destination. It also forms part of Google’s MENA AI Opportunity Initiative, which aims to provide essential AI skills, research funding, and access to advanced AI tools across the region by 2027.
Since 2018, Google’s Arabic-language learning platform Maharat min Google has trained over 430,000 UAE residents, with new AI-focused courses continuing to expand the platform’s reach.
