Communities across the UAE are being invited to play an active role in shaping this year’s 55th Eid Al Etihad celebrations through a nationwide series of workshops focused on creativity, storytelling and shared experiences.
The Eid Al Etihad Workshops will run from 10 to 24 September 2026, bringing together residents from across the seven Emirates to contribute ideas, memories and creative perspectives that will help influence this year’s national celebration.
Organisers said the workshops are designed to give people who call the UAE home an opportunity to share the stories and experiences that are meaningful to them. These contributions will help ensure the 55th Eid Al Etihad reflects the diverse communities, perspectives and sense of belonging that define the country.
A total of eight workshop programmes will take place over 15 days across the UAE. The series will begin in Fujairah, including Qidfa, on 10 and 11 September, followed by Ras Al Khaimah on 12 September, Sharjah on 13 September, Ajman on 14 September and Umm Al Quwain on 15 September.
The workshops will then move to Dubai on 18 and 19 September, Al Ain on 20 and 21 September, before concluding in Abu Dhabi on 23 and 24 September.
Registration is open through bit.ly/JoinEE55 until 8 September 2026. Organisers are also encouraging participants to share the registration link with family, friends and members of their communities.
Eisa Alsubousi, Director of Strategic and Creative Affairs of the 55th Eid Al Etihad, said the initiative reflects the importance of community participation in the national occasion.
“Eid Al Etihad is a celebration we all share, and our communities should have a place in shaping how we celebrate it,” he said.
Alsubousi added that the workshops will give people the opportunity to exchange ideas, explore their creativity and contribute in their own way to the national celebration.
He said the initiative is centred on bringing communities together, listening to different perspectives and creating a celebration that represents the people of the UAE.
The organisers said ideas and creative contributions developed during the workshops are expected to become part of this year’s 55th Eid Al Etihad celebrations, reinforcing the event’s focus on unity, participation and national identity.
