UAE National Day 2025: Free Ways to Enjoy Global Village This Eid Al Etihad

Dubai’s long National Day weekend is almost here, and Global Village is offering plenty to experience without stretching your budget. While entry tickets are required, many of the celebrations, shows, and attractions inside the park are free to enjoy, making it an easy choice for families looking for an affordable day out.

Fireworks and UAE-themed drone shows

From December 1 to 3, the skies above Global Village will light up at 9pm with National Day fireworks. On December 1 and 2, the celebrations expand with a drone show inspired by UAE heritage, blending technology and storytelling in a striking visual display.

‘From the Desert to the Stars’ at the Main Stage

Running twice daily from December 1 to 3, this theatrical dance operetta marks the UAE’s 54th Eid Al Etihad. The production features a mix of choreography, music, and cultural narration, bringing the theme of unity to the stage.

A closer look at Emirati culture at the UAE Pavilion

The UAE Pavilion stands out with its wind towers, golden coffee pots, dhow boats, and other symbols of the nation’s past and present. Visitors can watch artisans at work, try traditional Emirati flavours, and walk through the Heritage Village, which showcases craftsmanship and hospitality. Across the wider park, ten cultural installations offer more ways to explore and capture key elements of Emirati heritage.

Traditional Harbiya performances

On December 1 and 2, Harbiya dancers will perform across Global Village at Arabian Square, Happiness Street, Falcom, and the Main Stage. Performances take place between 5.45pm and 9.30pm, giving visitors several chances to experience this well-loved tradition.

Explore the new Gardens of the World

Stretching from the Egypt Pavilion to the Iran Pavilion, this landscaped area is one of Global Village’s newest attractions. Filled with exotic flowers and international landmarks, it’s designed for relaxed strolls, family photos, and quiet breaks between shows.

30 Seasons of Wonders Parade

To celebrate three decades of Global Village, the 30 Seasons of Wonders Parade brings a burst of colour and music to the park. The parade takes place on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday after Maghreb prayer, with two runs each evening.

Don’t miss Dragon Lake and the Light Show

Dragon Lake continues to be a major highlight with its Guinness World Record underwater display screen. Upgraded visuals, laser effects, fire elements, and animations make the nightly shows especially popular.
