UAE Weather Update: Heavy Rain Hits Al Dhafra as Abu Dhabi Police Urge Caution

Heavy to moderate rainfall swept across parts of Al Dhafra and Al Ain on Tuesday evening, prompting safety warnings from authorities. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued yellow and amber alerts, highlighting increased cloud activity over the southwestern regions of the country and forecasting continued cloudy conditions until 9 p.m.

Videos shared by weather enthusiasts, including the popular account storm_ae, captured scenes of rainfall in Al Ain, reflecting the changing weather patterns across the Emirates.

In response to the wet conditions, Abu Dhabi Police have urged motorists to drive carefully and comply with the varying speed limits displayed on electronic road signs. The force reiterated the importance of maintaining safe distances between vehicles and avoiding sudden braking on slippery roads.

While parts of the UAE experienced rain, other regions reported high humidity levels. The NCM noted that relative humidity is expected to peak between 85 and 90 per cent this week, with daytime averages around 50 per cent. From Wednesday through Friday, residents in Al Ain and nearby areas can expect cloudy and dusty conditions, as weather fluctuations continue across the region.
