Unsettled weather to persist across UAE until Thursday

Dubai: Unsettled weather conditions are set to continue across the UAE until Thursday, bringing dusty skies, shifting cloud cover, active winds and occasional chances of light rain, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.

Forecasters said weather conditions will vary across different parts of the country over the coming days, ranging from dusty and hazy skies to partly cloudy conditions. There is also a possibility of light rainfall at times, alongside stronger winds, particularly over coastal and marine areas.

Motorists urged to exercise caution

Authorities have advised motorists to remain cautious on the roads, follow traffic regulations and stay alert, especially during early morning hours when visibility may be reduced due to dust, fog or mist.

South-westerly to north-westerly winds are expected to blow at light to moderate speeds, becoming active at times and lifting dust and sand. Wind speeds are forecast to range between 15 and 30 km/h, with gusts reaching up to 50 km/h.

Sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf are expected to be rough to very rough at times, while the Sea of Oman is likely to experience moderate waves.

Humidity and fog risk

Humid conditions are expected today, with a chance of fog or mist forming over some eastern inland areas. Skies will be clear to partly cloudy, with low clouds developing over eastern and northern regions. Light rain is possible over the far northern parts of the country, accompanied by a noticeable drop in temperatures, particularly in western areas.

Winds will be north-westerly, shifting to north-easterly at times, blowing at speeds of 10 to 25 km/h and reaching up to 40 km/h. Seas will be rough to moderate at times in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Sea of Oman.

Similar outlook through midweek

Humid conditions are expected to continue into Tuesday morning, with fog or mist likely in parts of inland and western coastal areas. Weather conditions will remain fair to partly cloudy, with low clouds over islands and western waters and a chance of light rain.

A similar pattern is forecast for Wednesday and Thursday mornings, with continued humidity and a risk of fog in western inland and coastal regions. Skies will range from clear to partly cloudy, with low clouds over islands and coastal areas. Temperatures may dip slightly, especially across northern parts of the country.

Winds are expected to remain light to moderate, while sea conditions will stay slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Sea of Oman.
