Winners of the Ice Warrior Challenge at Ski Dubai Announced

In collaboration with Dubai Sports Council, Ski Dubai announced the winners of the 16^th edition of the Ice Warrior Challenge, which took place yesterday. Dubai’s coolest obstacle course brought together 560 athletes aged 15-60 from 69 nationalities, including 194 Emiratis, with participants from seasoned competitors to first-timers – all of whom bravely took on 28 obstacles, testing their mental and physical limits in sub-zero temperatures.

Elite Category Winners

Leading the Top 3 Elite Fitness Male Winners was Hallvard Borsheim with a finish time of (00:31:02). He was followed by Alisher Nazarov and Rich Zielinski with finish times (00:36:29) and (00:37:33) respectively. Michala Radomska led the Top 3 Elite Female Winners, finishing the race at (00:56:04). Close on her heels was Forough Shakiba with a finish time of (01:13:52).

Individual Category Winners

Teo Zampa  and Hilda Allin emerged as the overall 1^st place male and female winners with a finish time of (00:18:35) and (00:27:44) respectively. Not to be outdone were Yeison Londono Franco

and Natalie Mysheva with a finish time of (00:22:06) and (00:39:29) respectively. Completing the Top 3 were Shiva Shahi and Nada Omar with a finish time of (00:22:50) and (00:40:37) respectively.

Team Category Winners

The overall winners were the Carrefour Mall of the Emirates team with a finish time of (00:29:09). Close on the heels in 2^nd place was the Gambit Communications team, with a finish time of (00:31:23) followed by the Kebab Power team who completed the challenge in (00:33:00).

Since launching in 2010, the Ice Warrior Challenge has become one of the most popular events on the sporting calendar for adrenaline junkies, attracting elite athletes from around the world as well as locals and expats of varying fitness levels.
