X-Bionic Lake Garda 42 set for April 12 opening

2024 registrations have surpassed previous records

On April 14, 2024, the picturesque northern shores of Lake Garda in Italy will witness the third edition of the X-Bionic Lake Garda 42 marathon and half marathon.

Runners from across the globe are gearing up to participate in this breathtaking event, set against the backdrop of Lombardy, Trentino, and Veneto’s majestic mountains.

The event promises an unparalleled experience. The route is closed to traffic, allowing participants to soak in the stunning lake views as they traverse the regions embracing its shores.

The marathon will commence from Limone sul Garda, renowned for its ancient lemon houses, and wind its way through iconic landmarks like Riva del Garda and Arco di Trento, culminating in the medieval charm of Malcesine.

Notably, the X-Bionic Lake Garda 42 has emerged as a premier sporting extravaganza on Lake Garda, attracting athletes from diverse backgrounds.

In 2023, 2,700 competitors from 62 nations graced the event, with a remarkable 66% representation from foreign athletes.

Registrations for the 2024 edition have surpassed previous records, indicating the event’s growing popularity worldwide.

Women’s participation

A significant highlight of the event is the overwhelming participation of women, with over 50% of registrations for the half marathon.

The route’s scenic allure and Lake Garda’s warm spring climate attract runners seeking an unforgettable experience amidst nature’s splendour.
