Yango to reveal new ride-hailing service at GITEX Global 2023

MENA region expansion plans will also be announced

Yango, the web-based ride-hailing service that gets people to their destination quickly, safely, and affordably, is launching a new service at GITEX Global 2023, with plans for MENA region expansion also due for the announcement.

GITEX Global – the world’s largest tech and startup event – is held from October 16-20, 2023, at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

Operating in 20 countries in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Yango deploys proprietary advanced technologies, including mapping, routing, navigation, and machine learning. These interfaces increase drivers’ time efficiency while reducing expenses and providing affordable service to riders.

Business discussion

As the UAE market is significant for Yango, the company will reveal at GITEX Global 2023 the results of its business operations in the UAE. It will announce plans to expand the company in the MENA region.

GITEX Global 2023 attendees can also gain insights from a Tech Talk presentation titled ‘Mobility as a Service x Global Pioneers’ on October 17, 2023, hosted by Adeniyi Adebayo, CBDO, Yango, who will deep dive into the technology that sets the company apart.

Yango’s UAE projections show a significant rise in ride-hailing users in the Gulf nation, expected to reach 3.25 million users by 2027.

This scenario aligns with the Dubai Urban Plan 2040’s aim to reduce congestion and create a ‘20-minute city’. For Yango, this represents a unique opportunity to support and contribute to the country’s goals by optimising urban mobility, particularly as transportation has a 24% share of global carbon emissions.

The number of active Yango users globally has tripled in just a year, marking a 200% growth and over 150 million rides. These figures emphasise the increasing demand for Yango’s innovative platform, showcasing its success in over 20 countries, including 12 new markets launched within the past year.

Commitment guarantee

Islam Abdul Karim, general manager of Yango GCC, said: “Our presence at GITEX Global 2023 shows Yango’s commitment to reshaping urban transportation and providing innovative city solutions.

“We are not merely providing rides but integrating advanced technology to craft a safer, more streamlined, and interconnected urban transportation ecosystem. With a tripling of rides and users within a year, our global growth underlines our dedication to innovation and our larger vision for the region.”

At GITEX Global 2023, the Yango stand (F40) is located in Hall 14, DWTC. Yango visitors can expect giveaways and promo codes and experience interactive demos of the ride-hailing service’s latest technologies.
