2nd HR Forum Qatar begins on May 6, 2025

As national workforce agenda gains pace

With just days to go, anticipation is building as Qatar prepares to host the 2nd HR Forum Qatar, the GCC region’s most influential gathering focused on strategic workforce transformation.

On May 6, 2025, at the InterContinental Doha Beach & Spa, the forum will bring together high-level HR leaders, policymakers, and government stakeholders for a full-day programme of forward-thinking dialogue, expert insight, and impactful networking.

Final preparations are now complete, and the event is expected to welcome over 250 senior-profile delegates from across government, the private sector, and international organisations.

Great Minds Event Management is organising the forum, and this year’s edition promises to be even more ambitious. It will feature more than 30 expert speakers, 12 sponsors and exhibitors, and the support of 8 strategic partners.

The HR Forum Qatar has rapidly grown into a flagship platform aligning national talent strategies with cutting-edge HR practices. This year, it continues its mission to explore how emerging technologies, government reforms, and business leadership can jointly shape a resilient, inclusive, and innovation-ready workforce.

Speaking ahead of the event, Conference Director Akinola Solanke stated, “We are proud to deliver the second edition of HR Forum Qatar, a timely platform that bridges national policy with cutting-edge HR practices. This forum fosters forward-looking dialogue, strengthens public-private collaboration, and ensures Qatar remains at the forefront of strategic workforce transformation.”

Official patrons

Key national stakeholders in Qatar, including the Ministry of Public Health, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority (QFCRA), are patrons of the 2025 forum. Their involvement underscores the forum’s alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030 and its broader economic diversification and workforce localisation goals.

The event will officially open with a keynote address from Fatima Al-Emadi of the QFCRA, setting the tone for a day packed with strategic discussions and expert-led sessions. A distinguished line-up of speakers, including Sheikh Ghalya Al-Thani from Qatar Foundation, Hanan Abdalmaged of the Ministry of Public Health, and Abdulla Al-Khalifa from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, will join her. Representatives from Qatar’s State Audit Bureau have also confirmed their participation.

Key themes on the agenda include integrating artificial intelligence into HR systems, strategies for building robust Qatari talent pipelines, and innovative approaches to total rewards, wellbeing, and workforce inclusion. Leadership development, employee engagement, and succession planning will also be top priorities, reflecting the urgent need for agile and future-ready HR strategies in a fast-evolving labour landscape.

The forum offers an essential space for public and private sector leaders to collaborate in a region increasingly shaped by digital transformation and generational shifts in workforce expectations. With Qatar making substantial progress in building a knowledge-based economy, the HR Forum provides context and practical insight into aligning national human capital objectives with global best practices.

Organisers highlight that the 2025 forum is not just a meeting place, but a catalyst for action. With more than 12 sponsors and exhibitors set to showcase the latest in HR technology, consulting services, and data-driven platforms, attendees will gain hands-on exposure to tools that can accelerate talent development across industries.

The doors to the event will open at 8:00 AM on May 6, and a full day of interactive sessions, panels, and networking opportunities will follow. Delegates will leave with fresh perspectives on how to future-proof their organisations and drive national talent goals forward through collaboration, innovation, and inclusive growth.

As Qatar takes centre stage in driving workforce modernisation across the Gulf, the 2nd HR Forum Qatar serves as both a milestone and a launchpad—reaffirming the nation’s commitment to strategic human capital development and a competitive, future-ready economy.
