GITEX Europe x Ai Everything poised to kick off in Berlin

From May 21 to 23, 2025

Berlin is preparing to become the beating heart of global tech innovation as GITEX Europe x Ai Everything debuts from May 21 to 23 at Messe Berlin.

Organised by Kaoun International and hosted in partnership with Berlin’s Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises, Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, and the European Innovation Council, GITEX Europe x Ai Everything aims to become the continent’s largest-ever launch tech and startup gathering.

With over 1,400 companies from more than 100 countries confirmed, including industry giants like AWS, IBM, Cisco, and Nvidia, the event aims to create lasting cross-border partnerships. These alliances are essential as Europe seeks to accelerate digital integration while preserving sovereignty in a tech landscape increasingly shaped by geopolitical headwinds.

A lineup of over 500 global speakers is expected to draw in policymakers, innovators and investors keen to steer the future of AI, cloud infrastructure, data governance and quantum computing. For many speakers, it will be their first address on a German stage, reflecting the rising influence of Europe in the global tech conversation.

Notable names include Geoffrey Hinton, Nobel Laureate and AI pioneer; Mozilla president Mark Surman; and Sandro Gianella, OpenAI’s Head of Europe & Middle East Policy.

One of the event’s major highlights is Ai Everything Europe, showcasing the continent’s strategic shift to AI-first innovation. Key sessions will explore the implications of agentic AI and Europe’s EuroStack ambitions, featuring voices from Cohere, Synthesia, and the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence. Attendees can expect to see live tech in action, from smart factories in Brazil to AI-enhanced performance nutrition used by elite athletes.

Europe’s quantum ambitions also take centre stage with the GITEX Quantum Expo (GQX), developed in collaboration with IBM and QuIC. As Europe pushes to lead the global quantum race by 2030 with nearly €7 billion already invested, GQX is set to become a focal point for industry-defining debates and showcases. Leaders from CERN, IQM, and the French National Quantum Strategy will be among the headline participants.

Cybersecurity, too, receives robust attention. With cloud breaches on the rise and AI-powered threats growing in complexity, the GITEX Cyber Valley zone will convene top cyber firms such as CrowdStrike, Fortinet, and Kaspersky. High-level officials from Germany, the UAE and Belgium will contribute their insights on strengthening international cyber resilience.

The event’s green technology focus— GITEX Green Impact—will spotlight over 100 sustainability-focused startups and investors working on scalable climate tech solutions. Sustainability leaders from Honeywell, Airbus, TotalEnergies, and Bosch will explore innovations in green hydrogen, energy storage and bioenergy.

One of the most eagerly anticipated features is the launch of North Star Europe, a new edition of the world’s largest startup showcase. It will unite over 750 startups and 20 unicorns from 60+ countries. High-growth names like Qonto, Flutterwave, and TransferMate will be joined by deep tech pioneers, including CloudBees and Semiqon, the Finnish firm pioneering cryogenic CMOS transistors.

Over 600 global investors with a combined $1 trillion in assets under management will attend to scout promising startups. Names like Earlybird VC (Germany), SpeedInvest (Austria), and SOSV (USA) underscore the scale of opportunity. GITEX ScaleX, a new initiative for late-stage scale-ups, debuts here in partnership with AWS. At the same time, SMEDEX will provide crucial support for Europe’s vast network of small and medium enterprises.

With Europe on the cusp of a new digital chapter, GITEX Europe x Ai Everything is set to define a decade of technology leadership, sustainable progress and strategic independence. Berlin, long a cultural capital, now steps forward as the vanguard of Europe’s innovation future.
