TODA Welcomes a “Neo Theatre” Seasonal Pop-Up to Empower Young Talent and Shape the Future of performing arts
The Theatre of Digital Arts (TODA) is excited to announce its ”Neo Theatre” seasonal program empowering UAE talents and growing performing arts of the region. As Dubai builds toward the world of tomorrow, this project endeavours to bridge the gap between our heritage and our future by integrating traditional storytelling with interactive technology, immersive scenography, and contemporary choreography.
TODA’s four-month residency program will take place from November 1, 2023 till February 29, 2024 offering one-of-a-kind opportunities for aspiring artists to explore new frontiers in theatre and performing arts. With the guidance of the highly acclaimed Australian writer and director, Alex Broun, shortlisted applicants will receive invaluable curatorial advice and support. As part of the program, successful candidates will also benefit from a unique digital art space of 1,800 m2, surrounded by large projection screens on the ceiling and walls giving the ultimate multisensory experience. This program will enable them to present their theatrical performances to a live audience at the prestigious TODA immersive space located in the heart of Souk Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai.

Applications for the residency program are now open to all individuals and creative groups in the region. Interested candidates can submit their applications by Thursday, August 3, 2023, UAE. The selection process will be highly competitive, and the chosen participants will be announced on August 21st.
