World premiere of limited-edition Maserati MCXtrema race car in California

Maserati hosted the world premiere of its all-new MCXtrema limited-edition single-seater non-road-homologated race car at the high-octane Quail Monterey Car Week held in Monterey, California, on August 18, 2023.

For the past 19 years, The Quail has established itself as a hyper-luxury and exclusive experience for car collectors and car enthusiasts from around the world. Held at the Quail Lodge & Golf Club’s West Field location, the 2023 edition of The Quail featured exceptional automotive design and engineering from the past ages to the present.

Maserati terms the MCXtrema a veritable ‘beast’ designed for the track – with no type of approval to be driven on the road. The MCXtrema is the most formidable and extreme track-only Maserati to date, with a V6 3.0-L twin-turbo 730hp (540kW) derived from the Maserati Nettuno engine.
