The well-curated in-person event for Cloudera’s partners and global customers featured scores of globally eminent speakers who addressed more than 250+ data industry attendees on how to steer their data strategy from conceptualisation to production.
The seminal event also allowed attendees to network with Cloudera peers from their vicinity and across the globe, participate in sessions on generative AI, cloud economies, and award-winning use cases, and engage with experts and partners who constitute Cloudera’s global ecosystem.
Participants connected exclusively with big names, creators and committers in the open-source community during keynotes, guest panels, breakout sessions, customer fireside chats, partner discussions and lightning talks.
Gerd Leonhard keynote
EVOLVE NYC 2023 opened with a keynote by Gerd Leonhard, the world-renowned Swiss futurist, humanist, author of ‘Technology vs. Humanity’, and CEO of The Futures Agency, who kept the packed audience captive with his prediction that the “next 10 years will bring more change than the previous 100 years”.
Charles Sansbury also delivered his first keynote as CEO of Cloudera, after being appointed in August 2023.
EVOLVE NYC 2023 featured three main interconnected tracks that Cloudera ideated for both data leaders and data practitioners:
Modern Architecture: This session featured new case studies and technical insights from enterprise IT leaders and architects focused on modernisation and the open-source innovations behind the Apache Iceberg.
Transformation: This session comprised strategic advice from data and analytics leaders driving major transformation at their enterprises while offering participants strategic advice and the opportunity to meet business-focused enterprise leaders.
Discovery Labs: This feature comprised a Partner Zone, where attendees could learn more about Dell Technologies and Talend or learn how Cloudera, IBM, Intel, and AWS are constantly innovating to help customers.
Held at The Glasshouse, on a crisp NYC day overlooking the iconic Manhattan skyline and the Hudson River, EVOLVE NYC 2023 was co-hosted with IBM, Intel, AWS, Dell Technologies, Talend, Red Hat and Accenture, and was held under the theme: ‘Data anywhere, innovation everywhere’.
