DP World is title partner of Delhi Capitals’ women’s team

TATA Women’s Premier League 2024 season in focus

DP World and Delhi Capitals have consolidated their long-term partnership, marking a significant milestone for women’s cricket in India.

DP World, a prominent provider of innovative end-to-end supply chain solutions, has officially become the title partner of the women’s team of Delhi Capitals in the TATA Women’s Premier League, starting from the 2024 season.

The unveiling of this multi-year partnership took place at the JW Marriott hotel in Bengaluru, where both organisations expressed their commitment to fostering and uplifting the game of cricket in India.

DP World, already the global logistics partner of Delhi Capitals’ men’s team, is now extending its support to the women’s team, showcasing an effort towards promoting women’s cricket in India.

With a focus on widening the talent pool in India, DP World aims to invest in developing remarkable cricket talents who have consistently demonstrated their skills, determination, and passion for the game.

The company, through its world-class multimodal logistics capabilities in over 75 countries, ensures the movement of trade globally, including India.

Delhi Capitals will collaborate with DP World to support the logistics leader’s Beyond Boundaries Initiative as part of this comprehensive partnership.

This initiative involves DP World leveraging its global network and innovative logistics capabilities to design and distribute 50 repurposed shipping containers to grassroots cricket clubs worldwide, each equipped with much-needed cricket gear.

The initiative was unveiled during the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, with DP World pledging to donate 10 kits for every 100 runs scored.

To date, over 2,800 kits have been pledged to grassroots cricket via four bespoke containers, exemplifying the commitment of both DP World and Delhi Capitals to the growth and development of cricket at all levels.
