Profound issues affecting women discussed

Renowned American artist, songwriter, and activist Alicia Keys was in Jeddah on March 8, 2024, as she spearheaded the third edition of her ‘Women to Women’ initiative.

The event witnessed an unforgettable impromptu collaboration between Keys and Jeddah’s music sensation Yasmin AlBitar. They performed a soul-stirring rendition of Keys’ classic hit, ‘If I Ain’t Got You.’ The performance left the audience spellbound, as they had gathered in the Saudi city to discuss profound issues affecting women.

Marking International Women’s Day on March 8, the exclusive gathering unfolded at Bet Zenel, nestled within the historic precincts of AlBalad, symbolising a homage to feminine strength and resilience.

The event served as a platform for six influential Saudi women to spotlight women’s transformative strides in the Gulf country and globally.
