THE ULTIMATE ESPORTS SHOWDOWN! ‘PLAY BEYOND’
Gaming fans can watch some of the biggest names in the region battle it out across top esports games at the thrilling DEF Play Beyond tournament on 4 and 5 May, happening at Dubai World Trade Centre as part of GameExpo. The gaming celebration is part of the third Dubai Esports and Gaming Festival (DEF), organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE).
Heart-pounding action will take centre stage at GameExpo from 7-9pm, as regional and global esports stars engage in unforgettable matchups and battle it out for the coveted Play Beyond Champions Trophy – including @aboflah, @banderitax, @shongxbong, @jash_dhoka, and @jain_ritik, as well as leading gaming creators from Red Bull. Visitors can witness the thrill of live gaming unleashed at its finest as gaming legends vie for supremacy across new and revered classic game battles, including EA Sports FC 24, Fall Guys, Roblox, Mario Kart Battle, Fortnite and Overcooked 2.
The DEF Play Beyond experience will be elevated by exciting meet-and-greets with the gaming legends. Fans can grab their VIP tickets now to meet their gaming heroes and get up close to capture epic selfies. Limited VIP tickets are available for Saturday or Sunday starting from AED 359, and include priority seating, access to GameExpo across the three-day event, customised merchandise, and an AED 100 food and beverage voucher.
Fans can secure standard entry to the PlayBeyond experience as part of their GameExpo tickets, with options available for one, two, or three days of gaming fun for fans, families, and pros – starting from only AED 29 for students and AED 59 for adults. Tickets can be booked through Platinum List on this link. Special packages are available for families, while kids below 5 years of age enter for free.
In addition to Play Beyond, GameExpo tickets also give guests access to a variety of exciting zones, including the Gaming District, where the freshest game releases and previews can be explored, including Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Contra: Operation Galuga, and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. The Future Zone will be home to cutting-edge tech gaming ideas; and the Retro Zone will display nostalgic games of the past. Visitors can find a piece of the fun to take home at The Narrows, a buzzing shopping zone where gaming artists will showcase their craft; and Electric Avenue, where the latest tech will be available to buy. For the first time, a Family Zone will also bring excitement for young gaming fans who can go head on with their families.
The DEF GameExpo is hosted with the support of Dubai Future Foundation, Dubai Next, Dubai Police, Dubai Sports Council and in partnership with Emirates NBD, Red Bull, Rove, talabat and VOX, as well as Virgin Radio and Tik Tok.
