Baglietto Reveals XO Concept Yacht In Milan

A Journey Of Immersive Experience

Baglietto, the renowned boat builder synonymous with luxury and innovation, introduced its latest creation, the XO concept yacht, in Milan on May 6, 2024.

Standing at the forefront of maritime design and engineering, the XO concept redefines the essence of exploration and experience on the open seas.

Inspired by the profound words of writer Erri De Luca, who extolled the virtues of real journeys made by sea, Baglietto’s XO seeks to capture the boundless spirit of maritime adventure.

At its core, the XO concept embraces immensity as the ultimate limit, inviting passengers to immerse themselves in the vastness of the ocean and the endless horizon that separates the sky from the water.

The XO concept, an acronym for Explore, Experience, Observe, presents a novel approach to yacht design, fusing practicality with unmatched luxury.

Unlike conventional explorer vessels, the X50 boasts extended-range capabilities and a remarkable panoramic observation deck above the wheelhouse. This exclusive area offers a 360° vista of the surrounding scenery, enabling guests to forge a deep and personal connection with the ocean.

‘Visual Room’

Central to the XO experience is the concept of the ‘visual room,’ a protected enclave adorned with plush furnishings where passengers can retreat and revel in the magic of the journey.

Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including six large independent monitors and a bird’s eye view from a drone, the visual room offers endless entertainment options and unrivalled connectivity reminiscent of the comforts of air travel.

Drawing inspiration from the iconic ETR 300 ‘Settebello’ train of the 1950s, Baglietto’s XO concept blends innovative design solutions with timeless elegance. The upper deck features a minimalist fly bridge with flush-fitted glazed surfaces, providing guests with a breathtaking 360° view of the surrounding seascape.

Meanwhile, the hull boasts enhanced sturdiness and sharpness, ensuring optimal performance during transoceanic crossings.

Embracing sustainability as a guiding principle, Baglietto has incorporated environmentally friendly materials and solar panels into the XO concept, underscoring the company’s commitment to responsible yacht design.

The result is a vessel that pushes maritime luxury boundaries and prioritises preserving our planet’s precious ecosystems.

Commenting on the unveiling of the XO concept, Baglietto’s Chief Commercial Officer, Fabio Ermetto, said: “The X50 is a yacht with a strong, distinctive personality, targeted at a client who loves cruising in the broadest sense of the word. It embodies an experience of a journey to be enjoyed to the fullest. The observatory offers a unique, privileged observation point, a 360° visual room with no competitors on the market.”

As Baglietto continues to push the boundaries of maritime innovation, the XO concept stands as a testament to the company’s unwavering commitment to excellence and its relentless pursuit of the extraordinary.

Baglietto is a renowned name in constructing new planing aluminium yachts and steel and aluminium semi-displacement megayachts spanning 35 to 65 metres in length.
