Kivotos Santorini Unites World-Renowned Chefs
Luxury boutique hotel Kivotos Santorini unveils a new culinary chapter with the launch of a Chefs Dinner series at its signature restaurant, MAVRO. Spearheaded by internationally acclaimed Chef Dimitris Katrivesis, the series will see MAVRO join forces with globally renowned chefs and culinary experts who, together with Chef Katrivesis, will curate bespoke six-course degustation menus for these one-day events each month this season (May-October).
Nestled atop the highest point of Santorini’s caldera in the heart of Imerovigli village, MAVRO’s glass-front terrace boasts breathtaking 180-degree panoramic views of Santorini’s world-famous sunset, presenting a majestic setting for the newly debuted series. The concept of the Chefs Dinners reflects the hotel’s continued commitment to crafting original guest experiences and will see MAVRO expand and elevate its gastronomic profile internationally by welcoming Michelin star chefs from around the world.
The series kicked off on 18 May with renowned 1★ Michelin Chef Alex Dilling of London’s Hotel Café Royal. The evening featured a meticulously curated tasting menu where tradition met innovation through a blend of cooking techniques inspired by Santorini’s rich gastronomic tapestry and globally inspired flavour pairings. Each dish invited guests to indulge in a symphony of flavours with locally sourced ingredients nurtured in volcanic soil and fresh fare sourced from the island’s shores complemented by fine wines from local vineyards.
