Aprilia unveils new RSV4 and RSV4 Factory

A unique evolution in superbike performance

Aprilia has officially unveiled the latest iteration of its iconic RSV4, cementing its position as the world’s most potent homologated production superbike—the new Aprilia RSV4 and RSV4 Factory benchmark superbike performance, combining cutting-edge design with unrivalled track capabilities.

Boasting a mighty 220 horsepower from its V4 engine, the RSV4 continues its legacy as a track-ready machine that blends superior aerodynamics, revolutionary electronics, and race-inspired features. The all-new RSV4 and RSV4 Factory are set to redefine performance standards in the superbike world.

The new RSV4 and RSV4 Factory feature a radical redesign that elevates their aesthetic and functional aspects. The most notable change is the integration of advanced aerodynamics with winglets, which was derived from Aprilia’s MotoGP experience.

Positioned beneath the windshield, these stacked wing surfaces increase downforce, improving high-speed stability and cornering precision—critical areas where previous RSV4 models excelled. The aerodynamic updates also reduce drag by 6% and enhance acceleration while introducing more powerful radiator fans, which help keep the rider cooler.

Other styling changes include a minimalist rear light cluster, redesigned side panels, and a lightweight, sleek number plate holder that can be removed for track use. The fairing’s new shape reduces the bike’s tendency to wheelie by 8%, delivering smoother acceleration and less physical strain on the rider.

V4 engine

Aprilia’s legendary V4 engine remains the heart of the new RSV4. The 1,099cc engine delivers 220 horsepower at 13,100 rpm and 125 Nm of torque at 10,800 rpm, making the RSV4 the most powerful homologated production superbike.

The engine benefits from refined components, including new 52mm throttle bodies and an updated exhaust system, ensuring maximum performance without sacrificing compliance with Euro 5+ emissions standards. This marks another leap forward for the V4, Aprilia’s first mass-produced narrow-angle V4 engine, which has earned a reputation for its power, precision, and racing pedigree.

As with previous RSV4 models, the latest version continues to showcase Aprilia’s cutting-edge electronics package, but it has even more advanced features for improved rider control and performance. The new RSV4 and RSV4 Factory are equipped with the next generation of APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) systems, which are now enhanced with adaptive, predictive algorithms.

6-axis inertial platform

Both models feature a 6-axis inertial platform, Ride-by-Wire throttle control, and three distinct riding modes; each tuned to different cornering ABS and APRC intervention levels. The Track Pack on the RSV4 Factory includes a Race Dashboard for track-focused data, Launch Control for optimal starts, and the Pit limit for speed control in the pit lane.

The RSV4 Factory offers premium equipment as standard, including Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension, forged aluminium wheels, and corner-by-corner suspension adjustments. The bike also comes with the new Aprilia MIA multimedia platform, allowing riders to connect their smartphones to the motorcycle and download track data for performance analysis.

For riders seeking a more tailored experience, Aprilia offers a wide range of accessories, from carbon-fibre components to SC Project’s homologated slip-on exhausts. Additionally, the collaboration between Aprilia and Alpinestars has resulted in a dedicated line of racing and road gear, including the full-grain Throttle Leather Suit and the Twisties Tex Jacket for road use.

The RSV4 is available in two colour schemes: Poison Yellow, a striking combination of grey and yellow, and Stingray Blue, an eye-catching electric blue with red accents. The RSV4 Factory, meanwhile, comes in the exclusive Dark Kraken colour, complete with a two-tone saddle and premium features like the Öhlins suspension and forged wheels.

The new Aprilia RSV4 and RSV4 Factory are now available at dealerships worldwide. Prices vary by region and model, with the Factory version commanding a premium price for its top-tier equipment and track-focused features.
