Now premiering on over 2,500 screens across the UAE and MENA region, “Beyond the Likes” explores the impact of social media on relationships through a cross-cultural lens, set against the stunning backdrop of Abu Dhabi.
Directed by Ryan LaMarr, “Beyond the Likes” features an all-star Hollywood and Arab cast, including Matt Rife, Terrence J, George Lopez, King Bach, Don Benjamin, Samer Al Masri, and Jumana Murad. Qandil’s unique vision for blending Eastern and Western narratives shines in this story, which delves into the complexities of love and culture in a digitally connected world.
With previous films like “The Misfits” (2021) and “WarHunt” (2022), Qandil continues to push the boundaries of Arab representation in international cinema. “Abu Dhabi’s dynamic mix of heritage and modernity brings depth to the film’s East-meets-West theme,” said Qandil. “Beyond the Likes” marks another milestone in his mission to bridge cultures on screen, with additional projects, including his upcoming horror film “Home Is Where the Dark Is”, on the horizon.
