H.E. Mariam Mohammed Al Rumathi, Director General of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), praised the UAE’s efforts in creating a robust legal and procedural framework to protect children and raise awareness on their rights. She further expressed her gratitude towards the visionary leadership of the country.
Commenting on the ‘World Children’s Day’ celebration, H.E. Al Rumathi highlighted FDF’s unwavering commitment to empower families to nurture children in supportive environments that contribute towards their mental, social and physical development. The Foundation’s efforts are in line with the ambitious vision of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, ‘Mother of the Nation,’ Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood and Supreme Chairwoman of FDF, which seeks to launch programs to boost children’s resilience and adaptability within their social environments.
Furthermore, she highlighted that H.H. Sheikha Fatima’s directives have played a pivotal role in fuelling the Foundation’s achievements, paving the way to launch innovative childcare initiatives. H.E. Al Rumaithi underscored the vital role of families in fostering the future readiness of children and bolstering the UAE’s commitment to ensure a better future for younger generations.
