The Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD), in partnership with Endurance Sports Services, successfully organised the community-driven ‘Neon Run’ sporting event in Al Safiya Park, attracting over 400 participants from diverse age groups and fitness levels.
This remarkable initiative underscored ATDD’s commitment to raising awareness about the significance of physical activities and organising community sports events that foster a culture of health and fitness. Such events and initiatives are designed to attract and inspire a new generation of athletes as well as integrate sports into the daily life of community members.
The night race, with its illuminated course and vibrant colours, created a thrilling and festive atmosphere for participants. The event featured two categories: a 1-kilometer and a 4-kilometer race, making it an engaging experience for professional athletes, amateurs, families, and individuals. Participants received glowing accessories to enhance their race experience as well as exclusive medals to celebrate the unique spirit of the race and Ajman’s distinctive identity.
The success of the event was made possible through the partnership with Endurance Sports Services and with the support of ATDD’s strategic partners and local entities, including the Ajman Police General Headquarters, Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, Gulfa, Saudi German Hospital Ajman, and the Zayed Knights Team.
The ‘Neon Run’ comes as part of ATDD’s relentless efforts to position the Emirate as a premier sports and tourism destination. This initiative falls in line with their dedication to hosting events that foster community sports, nurture a sports-oriented culture, raise awareness about the significance of physical activity and inspire individuals of all ages and abilities to participate in sports in a positive and inclusive environment.
