FDF organises ‘Quality of Family Life Forum 2024’

The Family Development Foundation (FDF) is conducting the ‘Quality of Family Life Forum 2024’, under the theme ‘Our Community Unites Us’ across its centres in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra region, as a part of the ‘Better Family Life’ service.

The forum, which is being held from the beginning of November till December 2024, primarily aims to elevate the quality of life of both families and society, through events and workshops that cater to the unique needs of diverse age groups.

Bahia Al-Marzouqi, Head of the Youth Skills and Abilities Development Department at FDF, stated that the forum serves as a unique platform to enhance communication, raise community awareness and foster positive connections among family members. She further emphasised FDF’s commitment to offering innovative programs that promote key values and encourage individuals to engage in interactive activities.

She added that the forum provides interactive and practical methods for family members to engage in skill development activities, aiming to develop and assess individuals’ communication skills, as well as bolster relationships with family members. Al-Marzouqi specified that it identifies areas of improvement to promote the well-being of individuals, families and society as a whole. Moreover, she remarked that the forum enhances essential emotional, social intelligence and tolerance skills while improving their practical application in daily life.

Al-Marzouqi further mentioned that the forum features a diverse range of interactive activities and workshops, such as sessions on social cinema workshops, ‘My Happiness Path’, ‘Discover Me with Love,’ ‘I Create with My Family,’ ‘Planting seeds,’ ‘The Little Policeman,’ Productive Families Exhibition, ‘The Little Merchant,’ sports and cultural competitions, a horse show, awareness segments and a musical segment.

She stated that the ‘Better Family Life Service,’ aims to provide requisite knowledge and abilities to elevate the overall quality of life for both individuals and society, further emphasising the forum’s key objective to promote happiness, well-being, social connection and digital quality of life. Al-Marzouqi added that it seeks to promote values of generosity, collaboration, tolerance and social intelligence, while equipping individuals with necessary skills to forge positive familial bonds. She also highlighted that it facilitates interactive methods for family members and the community to engage in a social setting by combining skill development and leisure.
