Revibe raises $7m to grow its refurbished consumer tech business

Emerging markets on the radar

Dubai-based Revibe, a specialist in guarantee-backed refurbished consumer electronics, has reached a significant milestone by closing its Series A funding round with $7 million.

ISAI and Resonance co-led the round, which included key investors Kima Ventures and Edouard Mendy. This follows a year of impressive revenue growth, positioning Revibe as a dominant player in the growing $6 billion refurbished consumer tech market in the Middle East and North Africa region.

Revibe’s Co-Founder, Abdessamad Benzakour, shared the company’s success drivers, stating: “The market for pre-loved tech is accelerating, with projections of it reaching $20 billion in the next decade. Our ability to offer high-quality devices at prices 30% to 70% lower than retail is attractive, but our exceptional quality assurance sets us apart and drives customer loyalty.”

The new funding will enable Revibe to accelerate its expansion into emerging markets while enhancing its customer care and quality assurance teams.

Hamza Iraqui, Co-Founder of Revibe, highlighted the company’s strong business model: “Our revenue growth demonstrates that we are addressing a clear market need. We proudly show that a sustainability-focused business can thrive economically, offering value to customers and the environment. These principles will continue to guide us as we expand further.”

Investors are equally optimistic about Revibe’s future. William Vermont, Principal at ISAI, commented: “We are thrilled to invest in the leading B2C marketplace for refurbished electronics in the region. Our partnership reflects our commitment to supporting innovative, sustainable solutions in consumer technology. We are already seeing healthy unit economics and growth.”

Maxime Le Dantec, Partner at Resonance, added: “Revibe is one of the fastest-growing startups we have had the privilege of supporting. With their ambition to dominate the global $30 billion refurbished electronics market, we are excited to double our investment. Revibe’s execution in the MENA region has been outstanding, and their potential for global expansion is immense.”

Revibe initially focused on smartphones and laptops but has significantly expanded its offerings. The company now also provides refurbished gaming devices, accessories, and smartwatches. To enhance the customer experience, Revibe has launched dedicated iOS and Android apps, streamlining the purchase process.

Revibe’s commitment to customer satisfaction remains central to its operations. With a 12-month warranty, free shipping, a 10-day return policy, and 24/7 human and AI-powered support, the company has sold over 80,000 refurbished devices in the past two years. These sales have resulted in over $14 million in savings for customers and contributed to the reduction of over four million kgs of CO2 emissions and 960 million litres of water saved.

Revibe, founded in 2022, operates in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and South Africa.
