Menassah Distribution Company concluded its distinguished participation in the Cairo International Book Fair today, held at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre in Cairo from 23 January to 5 February, continuing its efforts to support Arab culture and provide local publishing houses and Emirati and Arab creators with global exposure.

Through its pavilion at the exhibition, Menassah succeeded in offering a rich cultural experience by selling and distributing a wide range of Emirati and Arab books, contributing to the advancement of the Arab literary movement. It displayed approximately 900 diverse titles, with a total of 6,000 books, featuring the participation of 80 Emirati publishers.

His Excellency Rashid Al Kous, General Manager of Menassah Distribution Company, expressed his pride in participating in this significant cultural event, noting that Menassah is continuously working to open new horizons for Emirati publishers through its participation in international and regional exhibitions. This, in turn, contributes to introducing Arab readers to the richness and diversity of Emirati publications.

Al Kous said: “We are proud to represent Emirati literature in one of the largest cultural book fairs in the Arab world. This participation has provided us with a valuable opportunity to present Emirati and Arab content to a wide audience, as the book fair attracts about 5 million visitors annually. We remain committed to enriching and diversifying the culture of reading and to supporting Emirati publishers and writers by offering new avenues to market their publications.”

This year’s edition of the bookfair carried the slogan: “Read… In the beginning was the Word,” highlighting the significance of reading and knowledge in shaping cultural awareness. The event honoured the Sultanate of Oman as the guest of honour and welcomed 1,345 publishers from 80 countries, including new participants from Chile, Belgium, and Austria, reflecting the global nature of this major cultural event.
