UAE’s first health magazine published by doctors for doctors

MEDZINE, UAE’s first health magazine published by doctors for doctors, is gearing up to expand its reach within the UAE’s larger healthcare community. Launched in 2023 as an internal trade publication for Medcare group’s network of medical professionals and doctors, MEDZINE, licensed by the UAE Media Council, aspires to become a trusted platform for cross-industry valuable insights, research, and knowledge sharing amongst healthcare professionals and industry stakeholders.
Speaking on the magazine’s expansion, Ms. Rania Akkela, General Manager, Marketing Communications at Medcare Group, said: “We are excited to officially launch Medzine as the first magazine in the UAE created by doctors, for doctors. With a network of over 500 medical professionals, 5 hospitals and 22 medical centres, we have broadened our scope to include medical collaborations and education in both local and international markets through two major annual medical symposiums.”
“Now, with Medzine established as a recognized industry medical publication, we look forward to expanding regionally and fostering further medical collaborations, innovations, and advancements,” she added.
The upcoming seventh issue of the magazine highlights collaboration within the healthcare community, showcasing contributions from doctors across the UAE. Dr. Zafar emphasized that this milestone reflects “MEDZINE’s commitment to fostering a strong network of healthcare professionals dedicated to improving healthcare outcomes.”
Dr. Sadia Zafar said, “We are excited to redefine medical publishing in the UAE with the introduction of MEDZINE to the UAE’s healthcare industry. Our mission is to connect medical professionals with credible clinical knowledge and practical healthcare breakthroughs. With content that includes clinical articles, guideline reviews, and in-depth case studies, MEDZINE offers a space for experts to share their insights and advance medical practice.”
More than just a publication, Dr. Zafar views MEDZINE as a collaborative platform that empowers healthcare leaders and practitioners by fostering knowledge exchange and innovation. Published quarterly in both print and digital formats, the magazine is designed to be accessible to a diverse and expanding readership.
Whether you’re a healthcare professional seeking new ideas or an industry leader looking to engage with the medical community, MEDZINE promises to be a leading source for fresh perspectives, learning opportunities, and meaningful connections.
