North 51 Consulting Announces Completion of China Tang Dubai – A Stunning New Addition to Dubai’s Fine Dining Scene

North 51 Consulting, an award winning and leading Project Management Consultancy, is proud to announce the completion of the highly anticipated China Tang Dubai. The flagship restaurant, set to open on 24 May 2025, brings the renowned London and Hong Kong-based brand to Dubai’s vibrant Business Bay, offering a world-class dining experience set against the stunning backdrop of the Dubai skyline and marina.

North 51 Consulting was appointed as the Lead Consultant for the project in March 2023, providing a comprehensive range of services including Project Management, MEP Design Consulting, Commercial and Contract Management and Approvals Management. With a deep understanding of both global design standards and local regulations, North 51 played a pivotal role in guiding China Tang through every phase of the project, transforming a shell-and-core unit into a luxurious and functional dining destination.

The journey for North 51 began with detailed site surveys and technical due diligence to assess structural and MEP requirements. Early identification of site constraints, along with collaboration and liaison with local authorities, allowed the team to resolve potential challenges well ahead of time. One of the most distinctive aspects of the project was the creation of China Tang’s signature Duck Oven Room. North 51’s MEP team designed a sophisticated system that ensured both the theatrical presentation of the duck oven and the operational efficiency of the kitchen, balancing temperature and air circulation seamlessly.

North 51’s role also included overseeing the design and construction of key features, such as the stunning staircase adorned with customized artwork, the Feature “Yellow Wall” at the main entrance and the glowing bars at the Restaurant and Lounge area that serves as a focal point within the restaurant. From lighting mock-ups to carpet selections, every detail was meticulously managed to ensure that the restaurant’s luxury and prestige were perfectly embodied.

Havelock One, the fit-out contractor for the project, played a significant role in delivering the interior design. Adrian Sellar of Havelock One, praised the collaboration, stating, “North 51 Consulting brought structure and clarity to a complex brief, their hands-on project management gave us the space to focus on executing the design brief with the quality and precision we’re known for. It was a true partnership, built on trust and shared standards.”

Nathalie Ford, VP of China Tang London, also commended North 51’s exceptional work, saying, “We are thrilled to see China Tang Dubai come to life. North 51 Consulting’s deep understanding of the brand, local regulatory requirements and ability to project manage intricate design details were essential to the success of this project.”

As China Tang Dubai prepares to welcome guests from 24 May 2025, North 51 Consulting’s commitment to excellence ensures that this iconic restaurant will be a significant addition to Dubai’s fine dining scene, offering a unique blend of luxury, Cantonese culinary expertise, and world-class design.
